The Breakfast Club. Cult classic 80s movie and a cute restaurant in Amsterdam-Oost (east). Started the cool morning with a super delicious chai latte. I also ordered the avocado toast, served on a thick slice of brown bread.
Time to start the museum marathon. First – Rijksmuseum.
Then the Van Gogh museum. Listen to how the Dutch pronounce his name.
Ended the night at Cafe Kardijk, an Indonesian restaurant. The Dutch colonized Indonesia back in the day so there’s a substantial southeast Asian population in Holland. Dessert looked like cake but it was called pie. Thin layers of spongey “speckled” cake that had hints of cardamom. Gimme more.
