Olivia and I took the train from Stockholm to Copenhagen. Actually we took like 5 trains because we booked at the last minute. All the direct/express trains were booked so every hour or so we had to wake up and change tracks. But we made it.

We were armed with lots of recommendations because everyone suggested we go to Copenhagen. Swedes. The Dutch. American ex-pats. Everyone.

First, Mikkeller. Bright but small bar/brewery. Great local selection and cute graphic design.

Then the Glyptotek. I don’t have words for this. It’s huge. Roman statues. Impressionist paintings. More and more. #TooLateToChangeMyMajor

Finally – Tivoli Garden. An old amusement park. Classic rides like teacups and swings. The best ride felt like a slingshot. Before the park closed, there was a laser light show. The whole place glows with greens, reds and yellows. It’s super magical.

We rushed across town to eat but the kitchen was closed. A hostess directed us to a late-night shawarma shop. Everything was fine until a creeper walked in. And then he followed us out of the restaurant. And down the street. And we had to duck in a hotel to avoid him. So yea, good intro to Copenhagen.
