I took a summer camping trip to see wild horses and put my feet in the ocean. Assateague Island National Seashore is off the Maryland coast and totally worth the trip.



I reserved a camping spot via Recreation.gov because, as I understand it, you aren’t guaranteed a campsite without a reservation.

In less than 48 hours, I hiked multiple trails, got to see grazing horses and witnessed a technicolor sunrise. 10/10 would do again.
